I manage my own payroll why should I change?

Thats great you manage your payroll. But with SmartWorks HR we not only process your weekly or monthly payroll we take care of all the tasks accisiated with it too. Like

What do you need from me to get me set up?

Ideally We will need an export from your current payroll but don’t worry we can assist you will all of this information

Who do I call if there is a problem?

Our customer service team are the best in the business and are available Mon to Fri 8am – 6PM

How do my staff get their payslip?

Once we have you set up on the system we send an invitation to your staff to join our portal. There, they will be able to download their payslip, view historical payslips, P45s, P60’s and AutoEnrolment documents too. Your employees will be notified on pay day that the payslip is available. Additionally we can email the payslip if required.

Ho will I know how much to pay HMRC?

When your payroll is finalised we send the data to HMRC real time (RTI) you will then be able to view the HMRC pay slip on our portal and also view payments and outstanding amounts

What reports can I have?

What ever reports you require you can access through our portal. Any special reports that are not listed simply let us know and we’ll ensure that report is created for you.

How do I let you know about new starters?

You can let us know by either completing our new starter form online or just email the data to us.

Will my payroll me managed off shore?

Absolutely NOT. Every client is taken care of and managed from our bureau in the midlands. Our call centre is also UK based.

Can you manage my CIS?

Absolutely. Yes

What about the end of year works?

We will take care of all of the end of year reporting on your behalf.

What if I have an issue with HMRC?

As part of our set up process we instruct HMRC we act for you for PAYE. This will allow us to confidentially discuss your PAYE affairs with HMRC

What about P60s?

As part of our EOY process we produce the P60s for your employees. This is then available for them on the portal.

What do I need to be telling my staff to do?

Don’t worry we’ll give you all the documentation and inform your staff through the platform. Don’t worry you’ll be able to track everything thats happening in real time.

What happens if there is a legislation change?

Don’t worry we’ll take care of that for you to make sure you are completely up to date.

Can I use my own documents?

Yes no problem at all.

How do my staff get paid?

At the end of every pay cycle we will provide you with all the payslips in whatever format you require and a complete breakdown of your total payroll information. This information can simply be uploaded to your accounts system and BACS payment system or you can pay staff individually if your are a small company.

I only have 5 employees can I still use the solution?

Absolutely yes.

I have 90 employees how will it benefit me?

You will benefit in significant cost savings and efficiency gains. All of your payroll headaches will be outsourced and taken care of for you completely. Don’t worry though it will all be seamless. You will have a dedicated phone line for your employees to call if there is an issue.

How easy is it to set up?

We set the whole system up for you on your behalf. You can then simply use it as a reference point. We’ll even take care of new starters and leavers for you. Its all part of the service.

How much does it cost?

This depends on the payroll frequency and type of business you operate. But getting a quote is quick and simple. Just complete the  form opposite and we’ll get right on it for you.

What happens when I get a new starter?

Simply let us know via our platform and we’ll take care of everything else. This includes setting them up on the employee platform, making sure they have all the contracts etc, setting them up on the payroll, training them on how to use the platform – (don’t worry if you can use a mobile you can use our platform.)

What about Auto Enrolment?

We can take care of your AE requirements and our solution synchronises with the top 12 providers. If you are not currently set up with AE then we can manage that whole process for you.

How secure is my data?

We take security very seriously and offer bank grade security on transmitting data to our system.

My accountant manages my payroll

This is the case in many circumstances however, accountants will not manage the HR function for you in most cases we can save you around 40% on your payroll cost plus you get the cloud based HR module included as well.
